名張市（なばりし）多文化共生センターの愛称について、４月１０日から５月２４日まで募集（ぼしゅう）したところ、８９点（てん）の応募（おうぼ）がありました。

【採用（さいよう）愛称】
　NabiChan　（よみかた：なびちゃん）

【愛称の由来（ゆらい）】
　名張の英字（えいじ）Nabariからとった「Nabi」と、センターの役割（やくわり）である目的地（もくてきち）まで導（みちび）く意味（いみ）の英単語（えいたんご）navigationからとった「navi」を兼（か）ね合（あ）わせて「Nabi（なび）」。
　センターのもう１つの役割である人（ひと）と人や関係（かんけい）機関（きかん）を繋（つな）ぐ意味の英単語channelからとった「chan」と、名前（なまえ）の敬称（けいしょう）の「ちゃん」、センターの英単語centerの頭文字（かしらもじ）Cを兼ね合わせて「Chan（ちゃん）」。

この愛称のように、名張市の住民（じゅうみん）の皆（みな）さんに親（した）しみを持（も）って利用（りよう）していただけるセンターにしていきたいと思（おも）います。

【Adopted Nickname】
　NabiChan

【Origin of Nickname】
　‘Nabi’ is a combination of ‘Nabi’ coming from Nabari and ‘navi’ coming from navigation (one of the center’s role).
　‘Chan’ is a combination of ‘chan’ coming from channel (the center’s another role) and chan meaning a form of address for a person’s name in Japanese, and ‘C’ coming from center.

We would like to make the center approachable to all Nabari residents in terms of this familiar nickname.
